A parade of storms is expected to bring multiple bouts of mild to sometimes heavy rain to Metro Vancouver.
Before the stormy weather commences, V.I.A.'s Downtown Centre Weatherhood station shows sunshine and a high of 18 C with overnight lows dipping to 10 C on Thursday, May 30. Friday's forecast also includes sunshine and a high of 18 C (see slide two).
Environment Canada Meteorologist Lisa Irvin says the Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes three storm patterns commencing on the weekend and heading into next week.
"Today and most of tomorrow will be a nice break in the storm pattern with daytime highs reaching into the mid to upper teens and by Friday night we head into a period of stormy weather," she tells V.I.A.
Light rain is expected to begin Friday evening and continue through Saturday afternoon in the first storm system. The wet weather is expected to ease by Saturday night.

A second stronger storm is expected to arrive Sunday, bringing moderate to heavy precipitation to the region.
"It is still too far in advance to know the exact rainfall amounts," she notes, adding that the storm is part of a "strong low-pressure system hitting the south coast."
Irvan says Sunday's storm is stronger than those typically seen during the late spring, describing it as "seasonally strong."
The storm may also produce stronger winds in the Strait of Georgia and outages are possible. People who plan to go camping on the weekend should be cautious of falling tree branches and other hazards.
The third storm should arrive in the Lower Mainland on Tuesday, producing light to moderate rainfall.
