Vancouver weather: Temperatures expected climb several degrees

The weekend forecast includes a pivot to warmer temperatures.

The Vancouver weather forecast includes sunshine and temperatures trending close to seasonal averages this week.

The city's daytime highs are expected to average in the low 20s in the seven-day forecast starting Monday, July 22.

V.I.A.'s Trout Lake Weatherhood station shows a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 22 C and a low of 16 C on Monday, while Tuesday's conditions are expected to be largely the same, except with a slightly cooler overnight low of 14 C (see slide two).

Other parts of the city should see similar conditions, although daytime highs and overnight lows vary slightly based on proximity to the water.

For example, the UBC area is expected to reach a daytime high of 19 C on Monday, while Yaletown is expected to reach a high of 21 C.

Daytime highs are expected to range between 22 C and 23 C through Friday in the Trout Lake area until the weekend.

The weekend forecast for Vancouver includes a pivot to warmer temperatures, with a high of 25 C expected on Saturday and 26 C on Sunday.
