Right before checking in on VIA yesterday I was at another daily stop on my web browsing and was struck with a dose of deja vous. Yesterdays daily Flickr pic was from Grant Harder and as it just so happens he is also part of a project called “A Year In The Life” on Heather Morton’s blog (HMaB). Heather Morton has chosen two up and coming photographers to follow over the next year of their working life, Grant Harder being one. I don’t really understand the project, but Grant and his photos are rad! they other dude is sick too! Hope it all works out!

The project is pretty simple. For the next year these two will share their trials and tribulations as photographers working and looking for work within their industry. Heather Morton does a great job of showcasing photographers, raising issues and shedding light on all sorts of rolls within the photography industry. Take a look back through some of the archives to get a better idea. Like you said both are great photographers and it will be interesting to follow along for the next year.

Jon- I’m a regular reader of V.I.A. and appreciate your post.
For those interested in the photo industry…especially students and newbies- get involved with the weekly conversation on HMAb. Ask questions. Sharing info- that’s what it’s all about.
