Celebrate "Brigade Days" with Bison and Bannock Dogs at Fort Langley!

The BC Day long weekend event features a special menu that plays off historically significant foods from Fort Langley's past.

The BC Day long weekend event features a special menu that plays off historically significant foods from Fort Langley's past. Expect handmade meat pies, quiche, HBC cookies, and of course, Bison and Bannock Dogs, which are bison smokies, wrapped in bannock and oven baked.

The Brigade Days weekend is a dream for history aficionados and anyone looking to do something a little out of the ordinary. Explore the actual encampment of Hudson’s Bay Company workers, Indigenous traders, Royal Engineers, Metis trappers and more as  re-enactors (dressed in period correct costume), swap stories, play music, and show off traditional skills.

The event runs all weekend long and admission is free as part of Canada 150. For more info, visit Fort Langley National Historic Site online.
