A vigil was held over the weekend in Chelmsford, England, for Vernon teen Ashley Wadsworth, who was murdered last Tuesday.
About 150 people attended the vigil, which BBC News reported included orchids and words from Wadsworth's sister, Hailey.
Wadsworth said her "beautiful sister" has "done amazing things ... You cared so much for your family. You always put us first. I'm so happy we were so close and grew up together and spent almost every day of our lives together," BBC reported.
"I don't think I almost ever went a day without talking to you. I love you so much, I'll never stop missing you. I keep seeing you, and I know you're here watching out for me. God gained another beautiful [angel] love you so much, baby girl."
The vigil Saturday was organized by Julie Taylor with the support of the Wadsworth family. Taylor's grandson Liam was murdered in 2020.
The vigil was held at a park on Brownings Avenue in Chelmsford.
Also in attendance were representatives from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a church Ashley was a member of.
The Wadsworths are looking to bring her back to Canada and have started an online fundraiser in hopes of doing so.
As of Monday, $22,845 had been raised towards a goal of $50,000.
Jack Sepple, 23 is charged with murder in Ashley's death. He appeared in court Friday and will make his next appearance on March 7.
