Popular TV series about plane crash to film scenes in Vancouver

There won't be any street closures but temporary "no-stopping" zones will be in place. 

A popular TV series is filming scenes in and around Vancouver this week. 

Yellowjackets is a survival epic about a group of "wildly talented" teenage soccer players that must survive in the wilderness following a plane crash, according to IMDb.

The Showtime series stars Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, and Sophie Nélisse.

A local fan shared a filming notification from Yellowjackets 3 Productions BC Inc. about filming on Friday, July 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. at 402 W Pender St (see slide two).

Filming activities will commence on Thursday at 7 a.m. as the crew sets up the area until 7 p.m. On Friday, a small crew will return at 7 a.m. to prep the area until 2 p.m.

From 2 to 6 p.m., crew and trucks will arrive in the area and filming will begin in front of 402 W Pender St. 

After filming wraps, the crew will pack up until 9 p.m. A small crew will return on Saturday, July 6 to return the area to its original condition.

Yellowjackets to film late-night shoot 

The production company posted a second filming notification letter for a late-night shoot in David Lam Park on Friday (see slide three).

Filming will commence by the Yaletown park sometime after 7 p.m. and continue until roughly 2 a.m. on Saturday, A small crew will quietly pack up the area until 4 a.m.  

No street closures or "no-stopping" zones are in place for this shoot.
