Get ready to dive into the Deadpool-verse.

With the months-long Hollywood strike officially coming to an end this week, Vancouver-born actor Ryan Reynolds didn't waste any time with sharing an update to the upcoming Deadpool threequel.

The previous news update on the Deadpool 3 movie was in May earlier this year when Reynolds confirmed the return of Rob Delaney who played a superpower-less average Joe named Peter in the second movie.

Deadpool's mutant team X-Force is slowly coming together with T.J. Miller, who is cast as Weasel, and Deadpool's sidekick and roommate confirmed too. The upcoming movie also features Deadpool newcomers Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfayden, and Hugh Jackman who will renew his role as Wolverine.

Now an alternate universe Deadpool pup is joining the crew.

"Did Dogpool save the day? Not a chance in gremlin hell. But she is currently causing the Disney plushy merch department nightmares," shares Reynolds on social media.

Wondering who's Dogpool? Well, for starters, it's a dog.

Dogpool was a dog on Earth-103173 -- a parallel reality within the Deadpool universe -- named Wilson who was used as an animal test subject for Mascara X, a mascara that was supposed to continually replenish itself after just one application.

Instead, Mascara X mutilated Wilson and gave him the ability to heal from any wound. Dogpool was recruited by Deadpool for the Deadpool Corps., a team of alternate-reality Deadpools.

The real-life Dogpool, however, is a scruffy pup with a very long tongue that even has her own Instagram account
