The Sakura Days Japan Fair takes place this spring in Vancouver and promises to delight guests with a multitude of spring offerings.
From delicious Japanese food and sake to cultural performances, Japanese culture and business to arts and crafts, there are a number of things to discover at the fair.
Guests may also enjoy
- taiko drumming
- martial arts
- koto (Japanese harp)
- dance and singing performances
- a tea ceremony
- learn about ikebana (flower arranging)
- origami (paper folding)
- haiku or calligraphy
- try getting dressed in an authentic yukata
The fair takes place on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 at VanDusen Botanical Garden.
They are no pets allowed and parking is extremely limited. Many vendors only accept cash but there is an ATM on site.

Sakura Days Japan Fair
When: Saturday, April 13 from 10 am - 6 pm & Sunday, April 14 from 10 am - 5 pm
Where: VanDusen Botanical Garden - 5251 Oak Street (37th & Oak), Vancouver
Cost: Until 11:59 pm on April 12 you may purchase the cheaper tickets. On April 13 & 14 it will cost more. Adults (19-64) $12.00 & $14.00; Seniors (65+) $9.50 & $11.00; Youths (13-18) $9.50 & $11.00; Children (4-12) $4.25 & $5.00;
VanDusen Adult Member (19-64) (not sold online - in person only) $9.00 at any date.
VanDusen Senior Member (65+) (not sold online - in person only) $8.00 at any date.
