Edith Cavell Elementary School is gearing up for an exhilarating return of its much-loved tradition, the Cavell Carnival, scheduled for June 7, 2024.
Located at 500 W 20th Ave in Vancouver's Douglas Park area, this event promises excitement and entertainment for all ages - and anyone is welcome to attend.
After a hiatus spanning several years due to the pandemic and subsequent school relocation for seismic upgrades, the Parent Advisory Committee is thrilled to bring back this cherished event. The Cavell Carnival, once a cornerstone of the school's social calendar, has been sorely missed by students, parents, and the wider community alike since it last took place in 2019.
The festivities kick off at 3 p.m. and will continue until 7 p.m. offering ample time for families to partake in the festivities.
The event features a BBQ, a tempting Candy Corner, and plenty of fun midway games to try your luck on.
One of the highlights of the event is the Silent Auction, where attendees can bid on an array of enticing prizes generously donated by local businesses and community members. It's an excellent opportunity to score some fantastic deals while supporting a worthy cause.
Beyond the food and games, the Cavell Carnival holds a deeper purpose. All proceeds from the event will go towards purchasing new playground structures for the children. The community is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for the next generation of Cavell students and neighbourhood children.
Tickets will be available to purchase onsite.
