Some Port Coquitlam residents are already preparing to line up for the newest fried chicken offering to come to the city.
On Facebook, folks are asking when is the long-awaited Mary Brown's Chicken going to open.
For weeks, residents have been wondering when the new store is going to open at 130–2325 Ottawa St..
The answer, according to the corporate office, is Friday, April 15.
No further information is being provided at this time, but Mary Brown's has been on a hiring spree and has been working on renovations to the building, located just off Lougheed Highway on the city's northern side.
The opening comes as Mary Brown's announces a partnership with MLB and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Mary Brown's Chicken, which opened last year in Port Moody at 138 Brew St., is on a major expansion in B.C.
Mary Brown's has more than 200 stores in Canada. It is a Canadian entry into the chicken sandwich business, having started in 1969 in St. John's, N.L.
It’s known for offering up a menu of signature chicken made from Canadian Grade A poultry alongside popular sides, such as taters and coleslaw.
Also this year, Mary Brown's has announced a line up of plant-based menu items, made by Lightlife, including tenders in three and five count sizes and two snack-sized sidekick sandwiches.
