With high hopes to have been serving up their delicious cold treats last summer, the long-anticipated second outpost of Vancouver's popular liquid nitrogen ice cream shop Mister officially opened its doors on Friday, March 25.
Located in Kitsilano at 1835 West 1st Avenue (in the former Shift Shakes spot), Mister has dubbed this satellite venue its "express" shop.
The 400-square-foot counter-service spot has a fully-loaded menu of the artisan ice cream maker's signature frozen treats and new creations including ice cream sammies, s’mores, brûlee options, dipped bars to-go, pints, exclusive flavours, and frozen bananas.
Though anyone screaming for ice cream will find plenty to enjoy at the new take-out only treat shop, you'll have to head to Mister's Yaletown flagship to see them whipping up batches of their popular flavours using liquid nitrogen.
“We’re excited to introduce our unique ice cream creations to a new community and finally open our doors,” said Tommy Choi, who co-owns Mister with Michael Lai, in a media release. “It’s been fun coming up with exclusive menu items for the Kitsilano neighbourhood, especially to go with our take-out concept."
Sweet treat fans will find some exciting exclusives at Mister in Kits, like The Ferraro Bar (chocolate hazelnut ice cream, wafer crust, chocolate dip, and hazelnut toppings) and The Banana Bliss Bar (bananas foster ice cream, dark chocolate dip, and walnut toppings). The "Frozen Banana Series" is also a store specialty; those treats come in flavours like Matcha Krispy and Salted Caramel Crunch.
Mister's Kitsilano store is open daily from noon to 9 p.m.
