The Vancouver Police Department is investigating the city's first reported homicide of 2025 after a body was found at a local park.
Police were called around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, after a body was reported on the CRAB Park beach in Vancouver's DTES.
In a press release, police refer to the body as male and state he was killed Saturday morning, but few additional details have been released.
"The cause of death at this time is unknown and the victim has not yet been identified," states the police release. "No arrests have been made."
Police haven't stated if investigators believe the person died at the beach or if the body washed ashore. No details about the victim have been released aside from the gender.
