Hit-and-run suspect sought after SUV driver hits 90-year-old woman in downtown Vancouver

The VPD is looking for the driver of a bronze or brown SUV who struck a 90-year-old woman with their vehicle on Feb. 28, 2024.

A 90-year-old woman is recovering at home after a hit-and-run incident two weeks ago.

The Vancouver Police Department is looking for the driver of an SUV after the February 28 incident.

Between noon and 12:30 p.m. the woman and her daughter were crossing Burrard Street at Davie Street when she was struck by a bronze or brown SUV, stated the VPD in a press release.

The driver turned the SUV right from Davie onto Burrard and fled southbound on Burrard Street towards the bridge.

“Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision," VPD Const. Tania Visintin said. "We also want to speak to the driver of the bronze or brown SUV to determine what circumstances led up to the incident.”
