A man has been charged after allegedly engaging in a racist rant directed at two coffee shop employees in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Police Department says Peter Gagen, 57, has been charged with causing a disturbance in conjunction with a June 11 incident that took place at a coffee shop near West Pender and Abbot streets.
The encounter involved a tirade that the VPD alleges was "racist" in nature and was directed at two of the cafe employees.
Gagen has been released pending his Oct. 31 court appearance the VPD said in a Friday (July 14) news release.
