Vancouver's favourite celebrity couple is giving back to locals this holiday season.
Vancouver-born Ryan Reynolds and his wife, actress Blake Lively, will be matching all donations towards the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) up to $25,000.
This isn't the first time the couple has offered a helping hand to locals, from donating to Red Cross during last year's B.C.-wide flooding to donating $250,000 to Covenant House Vancouver.
"Ryan and Blake are expecting a child in the new year, and they want to support our Baby Steps program to ensure the babies in our communities receive the nutrition they need to thrive," writes the non-profit organization on Instagram.
In 2021, GVFB projected to receive enough donations to support 200 babies per month but, in November this year, the organization was able to support 442 babies. "That's a 121 per cent increase!" GVFB writes.
The Baby Steps program raises funds for formula, diapers, and baby food for babies around Metro Vancouver.
