An incoming pop-up restaurant is looking for a very specific employee, typically avoided in the service industry.
"We're looking for the rudest staff in Vancouver," says a job ad from Karen's Diner.
The pop-up restaurant is part of an international brand built around its unruly, mean-spirited, and rude staff.
"Think you've got what it takes to be a busy AF and sassy Karen?" asks the ad, which is titled "Sh*t staff needed in Vancouver."
The restaurant's opening is coming up soon, with opening day on May 13. However, it'll be short-term employment, as it shutters on May 21.
However, to some who've worked in the service industry it sounds like it may be a dream job, or at least a cathartic experience.
"As a Karen, you can live out your hospitality dreams and get paid to tell customers to p!ss off, throw menus and be a complete and utter d!ck," suggests the ad.
They have a form to fill out if you want to "come join the madness."
