She's a graphic designer from Vancouver participating in one of the longest-running TV game shows.
Who is Tessa Matsuzaki?
Matsuzaki will be competing in the June 8 edition of popular TV question-and-answer show Jeopardy!, hosted by Mayim Bialik.
She'll be taking on Maggie Sharpe, a high school math teacher, and Eric Ahasic, the reigning champion. Ahasic, a meteorologist from Minnesota, has won two games and over $40,000 so far.
While we know she'll compete in Wednesday night's game, it's unclear if she'll win or not; the show announces challengers to the champion for the week's shows, but keeps the winner under wraps until the episode airs.
We don't know much about Matsuzaki, but based on her recently re-activated Twitter feed it's obvious she loves the Muppets, dogs, and the Vancouver Public Library. The dog in her photo (Dennis) is training and will graduate soon as a Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS) dog to help someone with their mobility.
The episode will air on Victoria's CHEK TV (which also broadcasts in Vancouver) at 7:30 p.m.
