Soon, White Rock will welcome a new "Urban Pier", which will feature a pedestrian-only public plaza situated between Foster and Martin streets. The new pedestrian friendly concept aims to provide residents with an official town centre that can be enjoyed year round.

While the plaza's design boasts contemporary architectural features, each design element is intended to pay homage to White Rock’s seaside roots. Inspired by cresting waves, the new Urban Pier will boast tiered seating, fluid stone work and elegant water features, each inspired by the region’s natural surroundings.
