A stunning hotel overlooking Vancouver's picturesque Coal Harbour has earned a nod from readers of Condé Nast Traveler.
The travel magazine recently released the results of its annual Readers' Choice Awards, which includes hotels, resorts, spas, cruise lines, cities, airports, and trains across the globe.
Over 575,000 readers submitted ratings based on their travel experiences, offering a comprehensive look at places they'd visit and services they'd use again.
The Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver earned the top spot for hotels in the Western Canada category. The five-star accommodation offers sweeping mountain and harbour views, and is lauded for combining "creativity, elegance and family-like hospitality."
Last year's first-place hotel, The JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, did not appear on this year's list. In 2023, it had a near-perfect score of 97.9 from readers.
The Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver claimed the second spot, offering a wide range of amenities and top spa services at its Vida Spa, indoor heated pool, and fitness centre.
The Rosewood Hotel Georgia placed third, climbing several spots from its 2023 when it landed in the eighth spot.
Other local spots on the list include the Loden, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, the Granville Island Hotel, and The Listel, which is slated for redevelopment and will close in November. Richmond's boutique Versante ranked 12th.
