Canada's largest airlines are offering another round of sales heading into the second week of October.
Air Canada has reduced prices on destinations in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, and Mexico. WestJet is doing the same and also offering a discount to anywhere the carrier flies.
Travellers can book flights to Vancouver from cities across the continent, including popular domestic cities like Toronto and Montreal, as well as ones south of the border such as Los Angeles and New York.
These deals are for flights connecting Vancouver International Airport (YVR) with cities across North America.
Air Canada
Canada's flag carrier offers up to 20 per cent off select domestic flights and ones across the border for travel between Oct. 14, 2024, and April 16, 2025.
The sale applies to Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy (Basic, Standard, Flex, comfort) tickets.
- Travellers can get 20 per cent off travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
- Travellers can get 10 per cent off travel on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.
Tickets must be booked by Thursday at 11:59 p.m. with the promotional code RT3KNH91.
The sale only applies to select destination combinations listed on the airline's sale page. Some popular options include flights from Vancouver to Charlottetown, Deer Lake, Fredericton, Halifax, Moncton, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Sault Ste Marie, St. John's, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Timmins, or Toronto.
The following blackout dates apply: Dec. 18-23, and Dec. 26, 2024, to January 5, 2025, Feb. 13-18, March 7-9, and March 14-16, 2025.
Air Canada is also discounting flights to other destinations within Canada, in the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean for travel until May 31, 2025.
The carrier does not state the discount amount for this sale but tickets must be on wholly Air Canada-operated flights and booked before Oct. 15 at 11:59 p.m.
WestJet
WestJet is offering 20 per cent off select city combinations on flights between domestic flights or between Canada and the U.S. for travel between Oct. 14, 2024, and April 16, 2025.
The sale applies to tickets booked in the UltraBasic and Econo classes.
- Travellers can get 20 per cent off travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
- Travellers can get 15 per cent off travel on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.
Travellers must book tickets by October 10 at 10:59 p.m.
Vancouver flight destination combinations include Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Thunder Bay, Halifax, St. John’s, Quebec City, Moncton, Fredericton, and Deer Lake.
The following blackout dates apply: Dec.18-23 and 26-31; Jan. 1-5, Feb. 13-18, March 7-9, March14-16, March 20-21, and March 23, 2025.
WestJet is also offering a sale on over 100 destinations worldwide for travel until May 31, 2025, but it does not include specific discounts.
The sale applies to tickets booked in the UltraBasic, Econo, and Premium classes.
Travellers must book those tickets by Oct.15 at 10:59 p.m.
