Air Canada offers massive worldwide sale on flights from Vancouver

This is one of the carrier's biggest annual sales.

Canada's flag carrier has launched a worldwide seat sale as the countdown to a potential strike looms

Air Canada is offering one of its largest promotions of the year, featuring all the destinations the carrier flies to on sale. It applies to travel between Sept. 24 and May 31, 2025.

Tickets for the "a sale as wide as the world" promotion must be booked by Sept. 10.

To search for sale fares, a prospective traveller adds their departing city into the "origin" box and several flights appear with the discount fares. For example, folks from Vancouver can enter Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Air Canada reveals multiple flights to key destinations.

For example, a direct, one-way flight from Vancouver to Toronto on Nov. 27 costs $126, to Montreal on Oct. 12 costs $194, and to Calgary on Oct. 22 costs $79 (see slide two).

The sale also applies to hot spots across the globe, including U.S. cities like Los Angeles, Honolulu, and San Francisco (see slide three); Mexican cities like Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, and Mexico City (see slide four); South American cities like São Paulo and Argentina (see slide five); European cities like London, Frankfurt, and Dublin (see slide six); and Asian cities like Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Dehli (see slide seven).

Travellers looking to book hotels and flights to sun destinations can also find discounts on Air Canada Vacations packages. They can buy one package and get the second at up to 50 per cent off.  The sale is valid on select winter getaways to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America until Sept. 29.

The sale applies to vacation packages for trips between Jan. 2, 2025, and April 30, 2025.

Travellers should note that Air Canada has introduced an earlier check-in cut-off time for anywhere it flies.

Travellers flying domestically and internationally must check in 60 minutes before all flights instead of 45 minutes (the current cut-off time). The new rule went into effect on Sept. 4.
