If you are looking for the perfect gift for your jet-setting sweetheart this Valentine's Day, Canada's biggest airlines are offering reduced prices on flights from Vancouver.
Canadian carriers have launched sales timed for the Hallmark celebration of love, with discounts on flights across Canada, the United States, and the globe.
Have a look at low-cost options for flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in 2025 when booked by the sale deadlines.
Air Canada
Canada's flag carrier's "Love is in the Air. And It's Sale" includes discounts on flights within Canada and select destinations in the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean for travel between Feb. 15 and Oct. 25. Tickets can be booked in Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy.
The following blackout dates apply: Feb.14-17, March 7-9, March 14-16, April 17- 22, May 15-20, June 26 to July 6, July 31 to Aug. 5, Aug. 27 to Sept. 2, and Oct. 9-14.
Some low-cost, one-way domestic flights from YVR include Calgary for $67 and Toronto for $115, while a cheap, U.S. option for Vancouver travellers is Palm Springs for $156 (see slides two and three).
Tickets must be booked by Feb. 17 at 11:59 p.m. to take advantage of the offer.
WestJet
Travellers can get reduced prices on flights from Vancouver to worldwide destinations as part of WestJet's "For the Love of Travel Sale." The sale applies to wholly WestJet-operated flights with no codeshare, meaning other airlines cannot appear on the ticket. Tickets booked in the UltraBasic, Econo, Premium, and Business classes apply.
Tickets must be booked by Feb. 17 at 10:59 p.m. to take advantage of the offer.
Flair Airlines
Lovebugs (or anyone) can get 25 per cent off base fares for travel between Feb. 19 and June 19 with Flair Airlines' Valentine's sale. Travellers must book tickets in the following bottom six booking classes to get the discount: AA, A, U, RR, M and L.
The following blackout dates apply: Feb. 14-17, March 14-17, March 21-24, March 28-31, April 18-22, and May 16-19.
Some low-cost options from YVR include Palm Springs for $102, San Francisco for $102, Las Vegas for $103, and Los Angeles for $105 (see slide four).
Tickets must be booked by Valentine's Day on Friday, Feb. 14 at 10:59 p.m. using the promotional code "LOVE25" to take advantage of the offer.
Porter Airlines
The airline with a raccoon for a mascot and no middle seats has a "Sweetheart Deals" in time for Valentine's Day.
Porter displays several discounted routes from Vancouver, including direct options and ones including a stopover such as Tampa, Ottawa, Miami, Montreal, Boston, Halifax, and Quebec City (see slide five).
The sale applies to travel until Oct. 25 but the following blackout dates apply: March 7-9, March 14-16, April 17-22, May 15-20, June 26 to July 6, July 31 to Aug. 5, Aug. 27 to Sept. 2, and Oct. 9-14.
Tickets must be booked by Feb. 13 at 8:59 p.m. to take advantage of the offer.
