Cheap flights to Europe from Vancouver: Fly from YVR to these 5 top cities

Your guide to a cheaper Europe (or least extra cash to spend in your destination).

Flights from Vancouver to Europe cost significantly more in spring 2025 than they did last yar.

Travellers flying from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) could previously find tickets to Paris and London for under $600 return, although they were for trips during the "off-season" (late fall through early spring).

Most return trips to Europe cost over $900 or $1,000 this spring, skyrocketing far higher in the summer. However, several top destinations have flights for several hundred less.

Have a look at where you can fly to for less from Vancouver this spring.

Dublin, Ireland

Flights to the Emerald Isle are one of the cheapest options to Europe this spring, with two-stop itineraries starting for under $700 through a third-party travel supplier.

For example, a flight departing on Friday, May 30 makes two short stops each in Calgary and Halifax on the outbound trip and in Toronto and Edmonton on the return on June 5 and costs $697 through third-party supplier kiwi.com. Booked directly through WestJet, the flights cost significantly more at $987 (see slides two and three)

Travellers can also find other travel suppliers offering the round-trip itinerary at varying prices, including Lucky2go at $731 and FlightNetwork at $853.

Travellers who prefer to make one stop only pay slightly more at $715 with WestJet on the same dates. However, the stopover on the outbound flight lasts nearly 16 hours in Toronto; the one on the return trip is only four hours and 20 minutes in Toronto.

Paris, France

Prices for trips to the City of Light soared in February but dropped again in March. While the deals aren't as affordable as in the spring of 2024, travellers can still find return trips from Vancouver this spring for hundreds less than they'd pay for flights over the summer.

In May, travellers can visit France's most iconic city for under $800, provided they are comfortable booking through a third party (see slides four and five).

For example, a flight departing Vancouver on May 30 makes two short stops in Edmonton and Calgary before returning from Paris on June 12. It makes two stops on the return trip, with one short stop in Edmonton and one for just under five hours in Calgary. The trip costs $787 or $797 through a third party or just over $1,000 with WestJet.

A one-stop itinerary to Paris with short stops in Calgary in either direction costs $812 through Kiwi.com or $1,015 directly through WestJet.

Frankfurt, Germany

Frankfurt offers an incredible deal this spring for travellers looking for a convenient and economical trip.

A flight departing Vancouver on May 12 flies directly to Frankfurt and then returns on May 21 with one in Toronto for four-and-a-half hours costs $790 directly with Condor. In this instance, booking directly with the airline is cheaper than through a third party (see slides five and six)

Milan, Italy

It's known as one of the world's fashion capitals and one of Italy's best destinations. This spring, it is also the cheapest Italian city to fly to from Vancouver.

A round-trip Condor flight departs from Vancouver on May 9 and returns from Milan on May 15, including only one stop in Frankfurt in either direction for $788 through GoToGate. Alternatively, it only costs $2 more to book directly through the airline ($790) (see slides six and seven).

Prague, Czech Republic

One of Europe's most breathtaking cities typically has a hefty price tag associated with flights from Vancouver. However, Condor has eased fares on flights, with prices available from YVR this spring for under $1,000.

For instance, a flight departing Vancouver on May 12 and returning from Prague on May 28 costs $870 with Condor. The itinerary includes a two-hour stopover in Frankfurt on the outbound trip and a four-and-a-half stop in Frankfurt on the return (see slides seven and eight).
