Prices on flights from Vancouver to Honolulu drop significantly heading into the last week of February.
Travellers can save over $100 on one-way flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) and over $200 on return trips.
One-way flights between Vancouver and Honolulu average between $300 and $600 from late January through the first few weeks of February. However, prices drop under $300 starting on Saturday, Feb. 22.
One of the cheapest options for a one-way trip departs on Thursday, Feb. 27 with WestJet. The nonstop flight costs $238 with third-party travel provider kiwi.com or $264 with WestJet (see slides two and three).
According to Google Flights, this price is considered "low" for economy or $147 cheaper than usual.
Return trips from Vancouver and Honolulu in the winter of 2025
Round-trip options from Vancouver to Oahu's biggest city cost significantly higher than average through the end of January and into the start of February, averaging between $750 and $900.
Similar to one-way options, prices drop hundreds of dollars starting Saturday, Feb. 22, falling between $400 and $500 for similar trips through the first week of March.
For example, a flight departing YVR on Monday, March 3 and returning from HNL on Monday, March 10 costs $405 booked through a third-party supplier or $456 direct with WestJet. Both flights are direct (see slides four and five).
According to Google Flights, this price is considered "low" for economy or $222 cheaper than usual.
