Hot deal: You can fly direct from Vancouver to Hawaii for only $210

Say "Aloha" to some great deals.

Travellers looking for cheap flights from Vancouver to Hawaii have their pick of several cheap dates for trips taken in the new year.

Currently, sun-seekers can find flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) for hundreds of dollars less than regular prices starting at the end of October. However, only a few dates are available with ultra-low-cost options for round-trip departures.

Travellers who only plan to fly to Honolulu and then return from another island or book their trip at their destination have more low-cost date options. However, they aren't considered much lower than average prices.

One-way, direct flights from Vancouver to Honolulu start at $210 when booked directly through WestJet or Air Canada (see slide two).

Flight prices drop at the end of October and remain low through November, only climbing up around the December holidays.

These prices continue to be available for travel through the new year, with low-cost options around the $200 mark in January and February.

Round-trip flights from Vancouver to Honolulu, Hawaii in 2025

Those looking to score low-cost prices on return trips have a few options available in late October and early November for $384. However, the lowest-priced flights occur in the new year.

January offers the widest selection of affordable trips, with nearly any combinable date combination resulting in a price under $350.

For example, a WestJet flight departing from Vancouver on Jan. 6, 2025, returning from Honolulu on Jan. 20, costs $329 through a third-party supplier or $349 through WestJet directly (see slides three and four).

According to Google Flights, this price is about $209 cheaper than usual for the economy class.
