Flights from Vancouver to Paris, France have dropped following a surge around the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Locals seeking an Emily in Paris moment on the cheap can enjoy low-cost options through the fall and winter, although prices fall significantly in 2025.
Direct flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) cost upwards for direct flights. However, travellers who don't mind making a stop or two can enjoy ticket prices under $800 or even $700 return.
One-way flights from Vancouver to Paris start for under $300 in 2024 and 2025.
For example, a WestJet flight departing Vancouver that makes two stops in Kelowna (one-hour layover) and Calgary (three-hour layover) en route to Paris costs $279 through kiwi.com (see slide two).
According to Google Flights, this price is about $192 cheaper than usual.
Other low-cost options on one-way trips from Vancouver to Paris, France
This ticket costs hundreds of dollars less than other competitors or if it was booked directly through WestJet. When you select a flight on Google Flights, you'll be offered several different third-party suppliers. Be careful when booking with a company you aren't familiar with and be sure to read reviews (see slide three).
Travellers who prefer to book tickets directly through the airline but still want to score a ticket closer to $300 should wait until the new year to visit the City of Light.
A one-way trip departing on Jan. 29, 2025, that includes stops in Kelowna (one-hour layover) and Calgary (two-hour layover) costs $302 booked directly with WestJet (see slide four).
However, anyone looking to shave some dollars off the price has several options with third-party suppliers, including larger and more recognizable options like FlightHub ($296) and BudgetAir ($287) (see slide five).
Round-trip options to the City of Light
Prices on flights from Vancouver to Paris fall significantly starting Jan. 7, 2025. Travellers can find options for $776 to just over $800 through November and the first few days of December but they will have to wait until the new year to find prices under $700.
The low-cost options are available through the first week of January until Feb. 21.
For example, a flight departing on Jan. 19, 2025, that returns on Jan. 26, costs $674 directly through WestJet. This option includes one stopover in each direction in Calgary (the first is a two-hour layover and the second is three) (see slide six).
According to Google Flights, this price is $495 cheaper than usual.
