After the madness from the mid-summer Paris Olympics dies down, flight prices to the City of Love drop, too.

One-way flights from Vancouver to Paris

Prices for flights from Vancouver to Paris remain elevated through August and the first half of September, dropping down to around $350 for one-way options toward the end of the month. Prices make a significant drop in late October, with some tickets costing under $300.

While the first week of November sees a slight spike in costs, the rest of the month shows low-cost options available nearly every day.

For example, a flight departing on Wednesday, Nov. 13 stops in Kelowna and Calgary before arriving in Paris and costs $291 when booked directly through WestJet; the first stopover is just under an hour and the second is about two (see slide four).

Travellers who prefer one-stop itineraries don't have to fork out much more. A ticket booked on the same day that only makes a stop in Calgary costs $312 (see slide two).

Prices are even cheaper when tickets are booked through third-party suppliers, starting at $275. According to Google Flights, this price is considered "low" for economy tickets at this time of year (see slide three).

Round-trip flights from Vancouver to Paris

Travellers looking for return options also have a wide selection of low-cost options.

A flight departing Vancouver on Tuesday, Nov.12 stops in Kelowna and Calgary and makes one stop in Calgary after returning from Paris on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

The ticket costs $631 when booked directly through WestJet but can cost as little as $596 through a third-party supplier.

According to Google Flights, $596 is low for the Economy class and is about $464 cheaper than usual (see slide five).

All prices are in Canadian dollars.
