Two of Canada's largest airlines are having sales on all flights including those departing from Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
WestJet and Flair Airlines are offering discounts to start the new year, with reduced prices on trips within Canada, south of the border, and around the world.
WestJet is also offering discounts on its popular vacation packages, allowing travellers to save hundreds of dollars off trips that include flights and hotels for popular destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America.

WestJet flight sale in January 2025
WestJet is offering travellers 20 per cent off base fares in UltraBasic or Econo classes on flights within Canada and to the United States for travel between Jan. 13 and June 25.
- Travellers get 20 per cent off select base fares for travel on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday
- Travellers get 15 per cent off select base fares for travel on Monday, Friday or Sunday
The following blackout dates apply to the sale: Feb. 13-14, Feb. 17-18, March 7-9, March14-16, April 17-22, and May 15-20.
Tickets must be booked by Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10:59 p.m. using the 3Q9M2GZ discount code.
The company is also offering a fare sale on over 7,000,000 seats to over 100 destinations worldwide. Sale prices will show once the traveller enters their route and travel date and selects "get flights."
The sale is valid on travel between Jan. 13 and Oct. 25 and has no blackout dates. It applies to tickets booked in the UltraBasic, Econo, Premium, and Business classes.
Travellers can also get discounts on WestJet Vacations packages to all destinations. They can also save up to $800 on select hotels in Mexico, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Antigua, and the Bahamas.
Tickets must be booked by Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 10:59 p.m.
Flair Airlines sale in January 2025
Canada's only ultra-low-cost carrier is offering up to 25 per cent off base fares on travel between Jan. 14 and June 19. There are no blackout dates.
Some low-cost options from YVR include one-way trips to Kelowna for $26, Edmonton for $36, Calgary for $46, Kitchener-Waterloo for $61, Toronto for $89, Los Angeles for $78, Las Vegas for $101, Palm Springs for $101, Guadalajara for $121, and San Francisco for $101.
Tickets must be booked by Jan. 7 at midnight using the promotional code JANSAVE25.
