Canada's second-largest carrier has introduced new routes from Vancouver as part of its summer 2025 schedule.
WestJet will operate flights between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) starting in the spring of 2025 (see slide two).
The airline announced its new summer schedule on Monday, Nov. 18, including increased flights on returning routes and new service to Europe from several Canadian cities, including a new nonstop option connecting St. Johns, Newfoundland and Paris, France.
Air Canada is also increasing service exponentially on select routes, such as a 117 per cent increase in flights connecting Edmonton and Ottawa, a 133 per cent increase in flights between Regina and Edmonton, and a 100 per cent increase in flights between Saskatoon and Edmonton.
Travellers headed from YVR will also "enjoy increased flight options to many popular domestic and U.S. destinations, including Calgary, Edmonton, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Kelowna, Winnipeg and Toronto," said John Weatherill, WestJet Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer in a press release.

WestJet adds that its guests can access a vast network of U.S. destinations from Boston on a single purchased ticket thanks to its partnership with Delta Ailrines.
