Tickets for flights from Vancouver to Hawaii are some of the most affordable options on the market, with prices for return trips costing under $400 to multiple islands.
Generally, you can get the lowest prices on tickets booked within one to three months of your departure date. If you plan on booking a ticket outside of this window, set a Google Alert for your travel dates in Google Flights. This will alert you when the price of your flight has dropped on the dates you would like to travel.

Honolulu
One-way tickets from YVR to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) start at just $205 including all taxes and fees with Air Canada right now, which is roughly $174 cheaper than usual, according to Google Flights.
There are numerous options at this price starting in January 2024 and continuing through spring. However, tickets start to climb in the early summer and into the fall, so you may want to hold off on booking a ticket if that is within your travel dates.
For return trips, YVR travellers can expect to see prices starting at $346 when booked through United Airlines (the ticket will have an Air Canada portion but they are airline partners and the ticket costs less to book through UA).
Kauai
Prices on flights from YVR to the Lihue Airport (LIH) in Kauai drop in a few months, with prices starting at just under the $400 mark starting in April.
For instance, a WestJet flight that departs on Saturday, Apr. 6, 2024, with a returning Delta flight that departs on Tuesday, Apr. 16, costs $382 including all taxes and fees; the first flight is nonstop and the return one has a stop in Seattle.
Kona on the Big Island
One-way tickets from YVR to Kona International Airport (KOA) start at around $220 with Air Canada and there is a wide range of availability for the first couple of months heading into the new year.
Round-trip flights from YVR to KOA start at $376 including all taxes and fees for non-stop flights with Air Canada.
