Vancouver Police say they are investigating this fatal single-vehicle crash. The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old Burnaby man, died on scene. His passenger, a 32-year-old Langley man, was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m., when the newer-model white Nissan Versa from the Modo car share fleet was heading south on Arbutus. The driver struck a retaining wall near West 33rd. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, says the VPD.
This is Vancouver’s eighth traffic fatality of 2018.
